In several museum collections, historic house museums and churches, castles and country houses open to the public, gilt leather can be admired and enjoyed. In most of these places, it has been used as wall hangings, but also for other applications as altar frontals and upholstery material.
Objects in museums are marked with a black pin, objects in historic houses are indicated with a gold pin.
